Business systems management

Managing the systems strategy, ensuring the business process needs are fully satisfied.

Involved as a Business Analyst for multiple projects where a full understanding of business logic (Finance, Trading, Warehousing) and technology is required.

Duties:

  • Defining the system strategy, ensuring alignment with the business strategy. 
  • Maintaining and managing an international environment with different ERPs used around the world (UK – Dubai – China – Kenya – Indonesia – USA – etc.) 23 offices for a total of approximately 10,000 employees.
  • Planning business expenditure within budget, proposing effective financial investments.
  • Running workshops with users to understand new requirements.
  • Redesigning user interfaces (UI) to improve the user
  • Increasing the efficiency and automation of various IT system applications.
  • Providing process definition, analysis and documentation.
  • Interacting and coordinating between IT, business areas and external vendors, helping to define and support the business process related to IT.
  • Negotiating and managing external support contracts related to the software.


Key Achievements:

  • Led a project to reduce the time and cost of deploying a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016). The process involved defining common rules and business decisions to create a “common core system.” The solution was successfully rolled out to 5 different offices.
  • Led a project to implement a new accounting system in the China office. This involved new challenges such as dealing with Internet China limitation (the great firewall of China), learn new Chinese legislation and overcoming language barriers. The project was successfully completed within the 6 month timeframe.
  • Technical Lead to implement a new BI tool (Zap BI) that allowed the merging of financial data from different offices (23 in total) in a single centralized database.
